Scope selection
Choose subassemblies to include every PRT under those trees, and optionally add Top level parts (direct children of the BOM root — above nested subassembly trees). Use search and Select shown on large BOMs.

Staging — filter and remove parts
Same filtering as the BOM Viewer: Narrow tiers (Tab / Enter = new AND tier; Ctrl+Enter = OR in last tier after two tiers). Part type pills isolate RR-2 custom, RR-3 COTS, or PCBA. COTS (RR-3…) rows are always out of the release (unchecked, not selectable). Add part… attaches extras not on any BOM (same as board “Add card”). Use Add to session after changing scope or staging so the release board picks up BOM + staging without leaving this step (keeps Kanban progress for parts still in scope). Initiate release process does the same merge and opens the board. Drawing only skips CAD columns and starts in drawing release. CAD reviewed skips the first CAD column and starts on the CAD modeling board in the second column — not on the drawing board (mutually exclusive with drawing only). Use Drawing only · shown / CAD reviewed · shown to set the pill for every visible row. Uncheck In release for other parts; use Include/Exclude all shown on the filtered list.

Kanban — release stages
Two boards: CAD modeling (first three columns), then drawings & files. Each column has its own Filter cards search (BOM part #, label part # if set, description, config, file; space = match all terms). On Drawing Generated, use Add card… if a part was missing from the BOM. Drawing only parts appear only on the drawing board. CAD reviewed parts always enter in the second CAD modeling column (never the drawing board). Click a card (not the buttons) to open details and set a note for the next Prev / Next / Move / Reject. Reject logs without changing stage.

Release metrics
Timings use the first time a part entered each stage (from movement history, with per-stage timestamps as fallback). Drawing Generated → STEP files Released is wall-clock time from first entry into Drawing Generated through first entry into STEP files Released.
